5 Months Old

I can not believe my little girl is already five months old! Time is flying by so fast! So much has changed. Here is a list of what all she is up to...

*She is rolling over like crazy both ways
*Cam has tried green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, carrots and squash which is her favorite
*We just started fruit 2 days ago and she loves bananas
*She is trying so hard to sit up, she can pull up a little on her own. If you place her sitting up she can hold it for a few seconds but prefers if you give her a little support
*She is smiling all the time
*Lil miss talks a lot but loves talking to Winston and Samson the most (her puppies) Winston will come sit by her and she will pat him then she will grab him and try to pull him to her mouth. Winston is not to crazy about that but he lets her do it. Samson just licks her and wonders why she can't throw his toys.
*Camryn loves her daddy! When he gets home her face lights up and it doesn't matter what he says she is grinning from ear to ear!
*She is very interested in her toes, she doesn't put them in her mouth but she loves playing with them. I love watching her. She is so observant and you can tell when she is really focusing on something. I just wonder what is going on in that mind of hers.

The past five months have been amazing and we are loving every second of this journey! Sorry I have been bad about blogging but I promise to get back in the swing of it!

Camryn using her dolly as a pillow. Notice the big spot of slobber! Why won't her teeth come through already!!

Uncle Boo Boo

This weekend we went to watch my brother Koby (uncle boo boo's) baseball tournament. He is so cute with Camryn and just loves her so much. We had so much fun and Camryn was so proud of her uncle! It was great seeing my family! Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Oh and he is holding her so awkward because his uniform was dirty and i didn't want Cam getting dirty!

4 Months

Our little miss turned 4 months last week! I can hardly believe it! The time is just flying by and we are trying to take each moment in!

Camryn has accomplished a lot in 4 months! Her personality is really starting to come out and she is smiling all the time. She can’t quite laugh yet but makes funny noises while trying. She is teething like crazy and drool is everywhere! We must have a bib on at all times! She just learned how to hold the teether on her own, which makes my life easier. I am just glad Cam isn’t a fussy teether!

We started rice cereal the other day...I think she likes it she just doesn’t understand it quite yet...we will wait a little longer on the baby food!

The past 4 months have been a blast and we are loving every second of this journey!

Bluebonnets

Spring time in Texas is one of my favorite things. I love driving and seeing all the different colors of flowers covering the hillsides. I was so excited to have a little bambino to take pictures of! Hope you enjoy!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! We started off our morning by going to church. I am so grateful to have a preacher that does not sugar coat anything and has so much emotion and passion in his message. I can not wait for Camryn to be old enough to understand the meaning of Easter, Christmas, and all the stories of the Bible. I know my heart is going to be overjoyed when she first starts asking questions about God. When I think about our one goal as a parent, to bring our children to Christ, it is a little overwhelming but how rewarding it will be in the end!

After church we had lunch with all of Matthew’s family.

Here are some pics from our Easter photo shoot! Hope everyone had an amazing Easter!

SIC 'EM

This past weekend we traveled to Houston to watch our Baylor Bears in the Sweet 16. This was very exciting for every Baylor fan because we have not made it to the Sweet 16 in over 50 years!!!

Our first game was against St. Mary’s and we won by a landslide. The second game, against Duke, did not turn out so well. I am convinced the refs were paid off. Regardless we had such a great turn out and I am so proud of my Baylor Bears. They played with so much heart and had a great season! Random fact...in the Elite 8 there had never been a men and women’s team playing against the same team until this year. Both our girls and guys played Duke. Our women won and are on their way to the Final Four! Congrats to them!

This weekend felt like Homecoming! We saw so many people that we knew and it was so much fun showing off Camryn! I wish we would have had more time to see everyone. We stayed with some sweet friends and really cherished our time with them because they are moving. However, traveling with a 3 month old is not an easy task. Which brings me to my next thought...

I AM A CONTROL FREAK...I never really realized how bad it was until we had Camryn. Some of you that know me well are probably laughing and are glad I have finally admitted to this. Matt lucks out because even though I give him a hard time about not changing diapers, I secretly don’t want him to. I want to change them so they can be done my way. I want to put up the laundry so it is done my way. I want to give her a bath so it is done my way. Do you see a pattern here? I know I have a problem. I also love routines and am OCD...great more to add to my issues. The worst though is in the car...I drive Matt crazy. Clearly I have some areas to work on but lets be honest, who doesn’t? Surprisingly I feel like I handled this weekend like a champ except for in the car.
