Last weekend Camryn had her first birthday party! Complete with a bounce house, hay ride and Santa! We had so much fun! Thanks to all our friends and family who came to celebrate our sweet girl. We are so thankful for y'all!
I thought when Papaw (matt's dad) said he was going to get a bounce house it was going to be small...WRONG. This thing was amazing. It had a basketball goal, slide and a football tackle obstacle thing! I think the adults enjoyed it as much as the kids. When everyone left that night we all got in! Cam was so sad when she had to get out!
Not crazy about the hat
Santa! Cam did great with him! I was worried she might be scared but not at all!
One year old!
Posting a pic of these because I worked really hard on them
Side note...The theme of the party was winter wonderland...so why a yellow cake?? good question! I asked for white. Sad.
Camryn loved her cake! She is a messy eater so I did not think she would disappoint!
On the hay ride we stopped by Papaw's manger scene. He did a great job and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. Every time Camryn sees it (including in Hobby Lobby) all she says is "OH WOW" over and over
look at that budda belly!
I would have to say her first Birthday party was a success!
I had almost finished a post about C's bday and then my computer messed up and I lost it all. Uhh I worked so hard on it. What is the auto save and save now for if it does nothing?! Frustrated.
There is this great place in Wheelock, Texas, about 30 minutes from CST, where you can chop down your own Christmas tree. How fun! My family was in for Thanksgiving and the day after we headed out to find our Christmas tree. We ended up not liking any of the ones you can chop down but they had some lovely dougless furs from North Carolina (my favorite) for a lot cheaper than anywhere in town.
Now let me just tell you...I love Christmas more than anyone. I love all the smells, decorations, food, happy people, lights, santa, hot chocolate, fires, and celebrating the birth of our Savior but Christmas has just not been loving us back. We decorated the whole house Friday. Saturday night we go to turn on our outside lights...squirrels have eaten through a strand. Uhh no big deal we will fix it...well it has now happened 3 times now...each time on a different strand and I refuse to buy more lights. It is sad, I know but why keep buying lights if they are going to keep eating them. If you have any ideas please share. Then Sunday night Matt and I are laying in bed and all of a sudden we hear a loud crash. Our tree had fallen over, broken ornaments everywhere. On the plus side, Cam slept through it. I don't know what it is with Christmas this year but we are keeping our positive attitudes just without the lights.
Sorry we have been gone so long! I will try and catch you up on the past few months.
Matt went to Pittsburgh at the end of October for a wedding. Little did he know we (me, cam and his fam) would surprise him at the airport in Houston and drag him to the Aquarium. He was a trooper even though he did not sleep at all the night before. The Aquarium part was just ok but they have a white tiger exhibit that was really neat. Outside there is also a train and ferris wheel that Cam really enjoyed.
A little bit about me and my life as Mrs. Wren! My husband, Matt, and I met my first day at Baylor University. He was a senior and I was a freshman. Shortly after we began dating and four years later we were married on 6-7-8. On December 15, 2009 God blessed us with a sweet baby girl! Camryn Leigh Wren. Now we are adjusting to being parents and learning something new every day. We are so excited to see what all God has in store for us!
